Fender's guitars, amplifiers, and script logo are recognizable even to those with a passing interest in music. Beginning with Leo Fender's groundbreaking early guitar designs that set the standard for the electric guitar explosion to follow, Fender 75 Years explores Fender's entire history--all the innovations, landmark models, and legendary players who became synonymous with Fender. In addition to the instantly recognizable Telecaster and Stratocaster, author Dave Hunter examines legendary Fender guitars like the Jazzmaster and Jaguar, the Jazz Bass and Precision Bass, acoustic guitars, and workhorse amplifiers like the Bassman, Twin Reverb, and Princeton, to name a few. Along the way, there are in-depth scoops on the award-winning Fender Custom Shop and the relationships that famous players have enjoyed with Fender, including Jimi Hendrix, Bonnie Raitt, Kurt Cobain, and so many more. Illustrated throughout with rare archival images from company archives and created with their full cooperation, Fender 75 Years also features rare period advertising and performance images. It's the definitive history and a must-have for guitar enthusiast'--Publisher's description
