Little did their cartoonist Allan Plenderleith think that when he created Jeff, Maude, Billy, Moira, Dug, Lily, Alf and the dog, he would still be drawing them 20 years later - if he had he might have thought twice and got a proper job! They haven't changed much thankfully - Jeff has a little less hair and slightly bigger stomach, Maude is still morbidly obese but doesn't know it, and the dog still delights in leaving something hot and smelly in Jeff's slipper.
